Here’s a summary of VOOL product updates from February 2025.

⚡️ The LMC firmware has been updated to version 5.0

Feb 18, 2025

The LMC has received a significant update with several key improvements:

Communication Enhancements

  • After recovering from a communication loss over LAN, the charger will no longer suspend due to the LMC.

  • The communication interval is now reduced when the charger is idle, preventing unnecessary router load in multi-charger sites.

  • Fixed an issue where poor network connectivity could cause the LMC UDP buffer to fill over time, leading to load management issues.

General Improvements

  • Resolved an issue with 3-phase car charging startup when phase load management is active in a limited grid situation.

  • OCPP 2.0 chargers will now appear as unavailable on the web during updates.

  • The default grid current limit is now set to 0A.

    • This ensures installers manually set the grid current limit.

    • Prevents the risk of leaving it at the previous default of 20A.

Updates for New LMC Hardware

(Applies only to the latest LMC hardware, hinting at upcoming features)

  • New LED lighting support

  • Ripple control and button support

    • The new LMCs feature a button for triggering Bluetooth connection.

    • Holding the button for 10+ seconds resets the device.

  • Bluetooth support for seamless configuration and setup on-site.

  • Gigabit Ethernet for improved connectivity.

  • LTE-related enhancements for better network performance.
