Standalone mode means the charger operates independently, without control from the LMC and without any load management. In this mode, the charger functions entirely on its own.

Why might Standalone mode be needed?

Sometimes, even when the charger is normally controlled by the LMC, it becomes necessary to switch the charger to Standalone mode. This can happen if the LMC loses connection or becomes defective. In these situations, the charger must operate in Standalone mode to resume charging. If the LMC is defective, the charger will otherwise not function.

How to Enable Standalone Mode?

To enable Standalone mode, open the charger's configuration panel and follow these steps:

  1. Settings:

    • Go to Settings and clear the Controller/Group value.

    • Ensure this field remains empty, then save your changes.

  2. Connectivity Settings:

    • Navigate to the Connectivity section.

    • Under Connection Mode, select "Choose connection mode manually", then choose Standalone.

Once the charger is successfully set to Standalone mode, an icon will appear next to the charger's name in the Site detail view, indicating that load management is disabled.
