Follow these steps to seamlessly configure your EV charging settings:

  1. Connect your home charger and EV to the app.

  2. Create a new charge point and determine the pricing model for this specific location. Are you operating under a fixed electricity pricing contract, or do you prefer NordPool market prices?

You're now ready to fine-tune your EV charging preferences for the selected charger:

  • Ready by time: Set a specific time for your EV to be charged.

  • Max kWh Price: Specify the highest price you're willing to pay per kWh for charging.

  • Guaranteed Battery Charge: Ensure your EV reaches your desired battery level, even if the market price exceeds your defined maximum kWh price.

Customize these settings to align with your preferences and enjoy a tailored charging experience for your EV.

When you activate the smart charging session, Smart Charging automatically identifies the most cost-effective hours for charging. It analyzes the market prices between the moment your car is connected and the user-defined "Ready by" time. By assessing these factors, the system determines the most economical hours to charge your vehicle.

It's essential to understand that Smart Charging settings are specific to each charge point. This feature grants you the freedom to customize charging times, prices, and guaranteed battery levels based on your location. There's no need to manually adjust settings each time you charge. Simply ensure you've selected the correct charge point on the main screen.

Imagine having a 'Home' charge point with a 'Ready by' time set for 7:00 AM and a maximum price of 8 cents per kWh. Meanwhile, your 'Work' charge point has a 'Ready by' time of 6:00 PM and a maximum price of 50 cents per kWh (after all, who's footing the bill doesn't concern you πŸ˜ƒ). Once you configure these settings, they remain in place. Just remember to choose the appropriate charge point whenever you're charging, and the rest is seamlessly handled for you!
