Add the Charger via the VOOL Portal

Before configuring the charger in the VOOL portal, please ensure that the following items have been verified:

• Double-check that the cabling is done correctly and switch on the power from the switchboard.

• Check that the VOOL logo on the charge controller lights up in green color.

• If the VOOL logo does not light up, it indicates that the power supply is either not connected or connected incorrectly. Please refer to the troubleshooting manual for further guidance

• If the light blinks red, it indicates something is incorrectly connected

• The charger can be connected to the internet via Ethernet, WiFi, or 4G. The charger will check the connections in that order.

• Connect to the charger via Bluetooth via the VOOL App.

• If the VOOL logo turns green, then the charger is connected to the internet and can be added to the VOOL Network.

Go to https://app.vool.com/ and click on the "Sites" tab located on the left-hand side, as illustrated in the screenshot.

Once you've added your Site, access the detailed view of the site, and then click the "Add a device" button to link your charger to the site, as demonstrated in the screenshot below:

Next, you'll be required to enter the Serial Number of your charger and the PIN code. You can find both of these details on the sticker attached to the underside of the orange charge controller or on the sticker on the front page of the user manual that was sent with the charger.

Add a New Charge Point Charger via the VOOL App

• In the VOOL App, under My Profile, open the Installer Flow view. Choose a location where you would like to add the new charging point.

• Add the chosen device.

• If you don’t have 4G connectivity set up a WiFi connection in the VOOL App.

For more information on adding Charge Point via VOOL app, please follow the steps provided in THIS article.

Connect via WiFi Hotspot

To set up a WiFi hotspot connection

• Make sure your device can create a WiFi hotspot and enable the hotspot on your device.

• Once the hotspot is enabled, you can customize the hotspot settings. Choose a security type (WPA2) and set a password for secure access.

• Connect the VOOL Charger with the hotspot. Your hotspot network should appear in the list of available networks. Enter the password that you created.

• Once connected, you should see an indication of a successful WiFi connection on the charger.

Adjust Charger Settings

You can customize your charger's settings by establishing a Bluetooth connection through your mobile app. After adding the charger to your environment, navigate to the "Device settings" tab and choose "Basic settings." It will then prompt you to connect to the charger via Bluetooth, as illustrated in the screenshots below (please note that on older version of the app, you will see the "Bluetooth" button instead of "Device settings"):

From the following screen, select "Basic setup":

On the next screen, you will be able to change some settings for your charger, this is where you can control if your charger is connected via LMC, enable 4G connection, turn On/Off Autostart and etc:
