The sessions view at app.vool.com lists individual charging sessions; Reports summarises them. Since 3 September 2026 both use the same rule for deciding which sessions fall inside a date range, so the two agree.
Sessions are filtered by when they ended
A date range includes every session that ended inside it, and the list is sorted by end time. It does not matter when the session started.
This matters at the edges of a range. A session that starts at 23:40 on the last day of the month and finishes at 02:10 the next morning belongs to the new month — in the sessions view and in Reports alike.
If you are comparing an old export | Before 3 September 2026, Reports filtered on end time while the sessions view sorted by start time and always included ongoing sessions. The same date range could give two different totals. That is fixed, so a fresh export and a fresh sessions list will now agree — but an export you saved earlier may not match either. |
Ongoing sessions
A session that has not finished yet has no end time, so it is handled separately:
Ongoing sessions are always shown and sorted to the top of the list, whatever date range you have selected.
They show a start time, marked with an icon, because there is no end time to show.
Their session icon is a different colour, so you can pick out live sessions at a glance.
Expanding an ongoing session shows its current state — ongoing, plugged in, charging — and the state links through to the device, so you can go straight to the charger.
If the charger goes offline during an ongoing session, a warning icon appears on the session icon, with an explanation when you hover over it. It means we have stopped receiving updates for that session, not necessarily that charging has stopped.
What charging programme a session ran under
Expanding a session now also shows the charging programme behind it:
the programme type — for example scheduled, price-based or cheapest hours
the session length that was requested
the ready-by time
when the programme was set
This is the quickest way to answer “why did it charge then and not later”: you can see what the charger was actually told to do, and when someone told it.
