Workspace
Each charging site is associated with a specific workspace on the VOOL platform. Workspaces contain all installation details. Charge point operators can specify who has access to the chargers, limit charger access through charger-based permissions, manage RFID cards, and define company details.
Navigate to the Workspace view to:
Manage users who have access to your chargers.
Create and edit permission groups to define which users are allowed to use specific chargers.
Set up and manage RFID cards. Learn more at RFID card management.
Quickly access all invoices related to public charging (if applicable to your account).
Edit company and billing details.
User Management
In the Members view, charge point operators can specify who has access to chargers on the VOOL platform.
Member Types:
Owner: The account owner on the VOOL platform.
Admin: Individuals who can access all sites and devices within the workspace and edit their settings.
Installer: The person or company that installed the devices and remains part of the workspace.
Member: Regular users who can view chargers and initiate charging but cannot edit configurations or settings.
Public Member: A public member is a user in your workspace who is restricted to access chargers via charge.vool.com only. These users can just browse their designated chargers on charge.vool.com and they cannot interfere with charger settings and data on VOOL Portal.
Members can be removed by clicking on the ellipsis icon at the end of the row in the members table.
Groups
The groups functionality allows you to specify which users in the workspace can access and use specific chargers.
A member can belong to multiple groups.
Please note, rules can only be applied to regular "members," as "admin" users will always see all charging sites and their chargers.
Creating a New Group
Define the group name.
Add members to the group.
Specify which chargers these specific users will be able to access.
RFID Card Management
Edit and manage RFID cards within the workspace.
Please note, if a member is associated with an RFID card and restricted to use only charger #1, then that specific RFID card can authenticate charging only at charger #1. Otherwise, all RFID cards within the workspace will initiate charging at every charger in the workspace.
Read more about RFID card management here: RFID Card Management.
